The Food Village is located behind the Tribune, where a range of food and beverages are available to purchase, our caterers include Hog Roast, Fish & Chips, Hot Waffles, confectionary shop and much more! (with cash, credit or debit card). Please be aware that we are not able to provide seating apart from very limited park benches.
We also offer a bar and sell hot and cold drinks. Drinks purchased at the Food Village can be enjoyed at your seats before and during the performance.
The Tribune opens two hours before the start of each performance should you wish to take your seats early. As food is NOT permitted in the Tribune, it should be consumed before taking your seat. You are allowed to get in and out of the Tribune as many times as you wish before the performance starts.
Food and drinks will not be available to buy from about 10 minutes before the show until the performance ends and there is no interval during the show. A limited range of food and drinks will be available to purchase after the show on your way out.
There is no picnic area on our site, and under our security arrangements, bags are restricted on our site so please check the details before making your way to the Kynren site.
Only handbags and fully transparent plastic bags are allowed, provided their dimensions do not exceed 40cm x 30cm x 20cm. We are not able to allow any other bags of any nature (rucksacks, backpacks, cold boxes etc).
Please note food and drinks are not allowed beyond Ticket and Security Check, except for baby food or food for medical conditions.
There are vegetarian and vegan options available.

Kynren merchandise across the whole site may only be purchased by debit or credit card; we regret that cash payment for your souvenirs will not be accepted - with the exception of flags sold at 2 for £1
Limited merchandise (programmes and CDs) will be available to buy over the phone after the show. Please call 01388 311813 between the hours 10am and noon Mon-Fri. Postage costs a minimum of £3.00 depending on how many items you purchase.
A selection of gifts, souvenirs and show-related merchandise, including programmes, CDs, ponchos and blankets will be available to purchase on site before and after the show.

If you are planning to arrive by car, you must purchase a parking voucher at the same time as your show tickets.
There are several car parks in Bishop Auckland to choose from, with some 1,500 spaces within walking distance of Kynren's epic show site (20mins or so).
Enjoy a gentle gradient walk onto among our wall of will of wild flowers, but bear in mind a short walk back uphill at the end of the evening.
The last 350 yards of the path leading to our site entrance are a gently sloping gradient

For those who prefer not to walk, we operate a convenient Park & Ride system from each of the offsite car parks to our site (supplementary charge for shuttle).
Subject to availability you can choose the car park which suits your requirements best and, if you want to use our shuttle transfer service to and from the site, book a Park and Ride voucher.
PLEASE NOTE: The last 350 yards of your walk to our site onto ticket and security check are a gently sloping gradient, but bear in mind the return walk back is up hill!
For those who prefer not to walk, we operate a convenient Park & Ride system from each of the offsite car parks to our site (supplementary charge for shuttle, to book at the same time as all your other tickets).
To help us plan, park & ride vouchers need to be purchased in advance, they cannot be bought on arrival.
If you chose a Park & Walk option at time of booking your ticket and realise on the night that the walk back may be too strenuous for you, you can buy shuttle bus transfers at our Box Office on show night; the price is at £5 per passenger, and you should know that people who pre-booked their shuttle bus transfers will be given priority to board the buses so there will be an unusually high waiting time for you if you choose this option.
Shuttle buses from all car parks run continuously to and from the show site from all the car parks to the drop off/pick up point on our site.
We kindly ask all our visitors to be at Ticket/security check 45 minutes before the show starts, and advise that you reach your car park at the very latest 60 minutes before the show starts.
Depending on demand there may be a wait for a bus, particularly at the end of the show.
Car park C, E, H and blue badge car park A do not have a height restriction. Car park F is a multi-storey car park; the lower level on this car park has a height restriction of 7'0" and the upper level of this car park has a height restriction of 6'3".
The same parking options are available to motorcycles and cars.
We have parking on site for Blue Badge permit holders. You may book these online with your tickets if you are buying tickets on general sale.
For our guests who are wheelchair users, we have a reserved area. Tickets for that area and for your parking will be available to book via our Box Office telephone line.
IMPORTANT: Cars parking in the Blue Badge car park will need to show our Parking Attendants their pre-booked parking voucher and a valid Blue Badge permit to gain entry to this car park.
Our footpaths are hard, level surfaces. They are easy to walk on and suitable for customers with mobility issues or in wheelchairs.
There is very limited seating outside of the tribune area. This has been provided for disabled patrons and those with mobility issues, however, you will be able to take your seat in the tribune 2 hours before the show starts.
On show days the site opens from 6pm. You will be able to purchase tickets after the site opens at the site box office. To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend that you do not wait until show day to purchase your tickets. Our shows often sell out days prior to the event therefore we would advise that you purchase tickets before you arrive onsite. Access to the site is by foot only for later bookers.
Add that the online booking system allows to book tickets up to 1 hour before the show starts. You will be able to print your tickets at the box office up to one hour before the show starts
Our seating booking options offer choice with tickets in diamond seats offering additional padding, back rests and more space for even greater comfort. Diamond seats are located in the centre of our Tribune. Alternatively opt for your preferred seating location based on your personal preferences. Choose platinum, gold, silver or bronze seating. Where ever you sit, just like at the cinema, enjoy spectacular views of Kynren.
NEW IN 2018: Our online ticket booking system will allow you to select your preferred seats across the entire seating area, to the exception of the dedicated wheelchair reserved area.
You may also book seats by calling our dedicated customer care team on 0333 300 3028 - please be aware there is an admin fee of £2.50 per ticket for this service. This fee will be waived for wheelchair users.
The show lasts 90 minutes without an interval, starting at dusk and concluding in starlight. The timing of each performance varies as the season progresses and the days get shorter. Please check the specific start time of your chosen show at kynren.com.

Exchanges can be made up to 30 days prior to the performance but please be aware there is a £5.00 admin charge per ticket to make an exchange.
Kynren takes place at night in the open air, so we strongly recommend you wear suitable clothing - warm and waterproof outerwear and comfortable footwear.
The most important thing for you to bring is your printed ticket.
On booking, you will be able to download your ticket for printing. If you are having problems printing your tickets you can call our customer care team on 0333 300 3028 who will be happy to help with any problems.
Alternatively they can be printed on show nights at our onsite box office up to 1 hour before show starts.
We ask our visitors to be seated 5 minutes ahead of the start of the show, however if circumstances get in the way, you can still attend however you may be asked to wait until a suitable break before taking your seat.
Guide dog and hearing dogs can be accommodated, however please be aware that the show contains loud noises and fireworks, which might cause distress to the animal. Please let us know before you book your tickets so we can arrange appropriate seating during the show, by emailing enquiries@kynren.co.uk or calling 0333 300 3028 (calls charged at local rates).
While the show involves vibrant costumes, we ask that, for security reasons, you resist the temptation to come in costume!
Kynren wishes to be at the forefront of reducing smoking in public places due to the fact we are designed for families with children. There are 4 designated smoking areas at venue. These are the only areas where smoking is allowed in the park.
Smoking is not allowed in any other outdoor space, queue-line, restaurant, shop or attraction and cigarettes are not sold on site. You will be asked to put out your cigarettes by our staff members.
