Within easy travelling times - whatever your method of getting to Kynren
you'll find we are only a short journey away.
We look forward to welcoming you to Bishop Auckland! Here is how you can reach Kynren's epic show site:
Nearly 2,000 car park spaces are available on the nights of Kynren performances. If you are planning to arrive by car, you must purchase a parking voucher at the same time as your show tickets, and you will be able to choose which car park is more convenient for your party, subject to availability. Need help to choose? click here.
A vast majority of car park spaces are within walking distance of our show site. The last 500m from our venue entrance to our Ticket check are a gently sloped path among our meadow of wild flowers, but bear in mind the walk back at the end of the evening is uphill.
For those who prefer to take the weight off their feet, we operate a convenient Park & Ride system from each of the offsite car parks to our site (additional charge applies).
From our Ticket check to the Tribune (seating and performance area), there is a 350-meter walk on a mostly flat path for all our guests.
We welcome visitors with disabilities and we have a wide range of facilities and arrangements in place to ensure visitors with disabilities are well looked after.
We have parking on site for Blue Badge permit holders only, subject to availability. To access this car park on the day of your chosen performance, all guests will be asked by the parking attendants to produce and display their pre-booked parking voucher and a valid Blue Badge permit.
From the Blue Badge onsite car park, walking distance is approximately 350m on a mostly flat path to reach the Tribune area and its facilities including the Food Village and toilets.
If you are concerned that walking to the Tribune may present difficulties, you are advised and welcome to use your own wheelchairs or walking aids, all of which can be left safely and free of charge at the side of the Tribune during the performance if needed. A very limited number of wheelchairs will be available for hire on a first come first serve basis on the night (free of charge, against a refundable deposit).
All other patrons can book their seats online, and if they are holders of Blue Badge permits, they can book a space in the Blue Badge parking online too.
The Tribune (our seating area) is comprised of 41 rows of standard raked seats, with shallow steps leading to the different sections.
For our guests who are wheelchair users, there are seats reserved on the front row (at surface level) to sit along their companion at each performance. All wheelchair users must be accompanied by a companion, who is eligible for a complimentary admission ticket to sit next to you.
You will need to call our Box Office on 0333 300 3028 (calls charged at local rates) to book seats in this reserved area and car park spaces can be booked at the same time. No booking fee applies for tickets booked in the wheelchair user reserved area.
For our guests with limited mobility, we have introduced in 2018 the option to choose your seats in the Tribune on the online booking system. This allows you to opt for seats lower down or at the level of your choice, subject to availability.
The site has a limited number of park benches, yet the Tribune opens two hours before the start of each performance should you wish to take your seats early. You are welcome to get in and out of the Tribune as many times as you wish before the performance starts.
Disabled toilets are located at the Welcome Plaza, immediately adjacent to the Blue Badge parking area, and behind the Tribune.
